Upon completion of the Pro Photographer Course and with your new found knowledge and skills, you will be able to take advantage of dozens of employment opportunities within the photographic industry.

The yearly salary range can vary widely between industries but as an example:
Wedding Photographers can earn between $24k to $155k+ per year.
Commercial Photographers can earn between $35k to $90k+ per year.

COURSE OVERVIEW: As a professional photographer & photo educator, I have been running the Pro Photographer Courses for over 30 years and many of my previous students are now working in their chosen field of photography. I can promise you that you will learn many new tips & techniques which will improve your photography and at the same time have a lot of fun, meet new people with similar interests and get some great images along the way.
The 8 WEEK PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER COURSES for 2025 are held in an air-conditioned Classroom at the James Cook University Smithfield Campus (or similar, depending on availability) and at various locations around Cairns.
The courses are held over eight Saturdays from 1pm to 5pm giving you a full 32 hours tuition.
The course covers a broad range of subjects and is designed to provide students with a balanced understanding of, and experience in, a variety of commercial photography applications and in the latest digital photography techniques.
This course condenses knowledge and insider tips & techniques from my extensive experience in commercial photography into a comprehensive course of 32 hours, over eight weeks, which will give you the skills to pursue your own photographic business and career and/or improve your photography up to a professional standard.
Classes are limited to small sizes (A MAXIMUM OF ONLY 12 STUDENTS PER COURSE) to ensure each student is given personalised tuition. I do my best to ensure everyone is learning at the same pace and try and personalise the tuition to suit your individual requirements.
